Rap was first discovered in the 60's and has origins founded from tribesmen in West Africa. The genre grew in Washington, Philadelphia and of course New York. It was mainly black teenagers who indulged in this genre, but since then a wider variety have also. The costumes rappers tend to wear are quite often loose fitting and relaxed. Prominent rings and chains are worn by males and more recent rap artists such as Nicki Minaj also wear them too.
