This shot analysis suggested to me that depending on the type of music video, the longer or shorter the shots are. In this video which is a more relaxed song, the shots are longer ranging from 1 second to 22 seconds. This made me realise I would have to consider the genre of my video before deciding how long the shots should be. The majority of shots in this music video are close ups, I will consider this when creating my music video. A common theme I have found when analysing music videos is that straight cuts are used from one shot to another.
