Below are images of my hand drawn mock ups for my digipak. I have written descriptions of each slide beside each picture as well as a sentence or two of feedback from Jo Glynn (mother) and Rosie Glynn (sister).
The front cover will include an image of the model I am using kneeling down. I will merge three images together so that it looks like she is sitting up. The right hand side will have feathers pasted over it and the whole scene will look very light. The title and artist's name will central.
Jo Glynn "Creative. I like the idea of the merging images together in the bottom corner."
The back cover will be very simplistic so that the song titles are the main focus. I am keeping the theme of feathers running through as the back cover will have feathers at the bottom with a fairly blank background. The track list will be central and lowercase.
Jo Glynn "The feather theme is nice on the eyes. It makes the whole thing look well put together."
The inside image will be a close up of my model's face. I want to merge two images of her together to create an almost distorted ghostly look. In one imagine the girl will have a straight face and the other image she will be crying.
Jo Glynn "The merging of these images as well as on the cover will give a uniformed look."
This slide will be of my model sat against a tree with her hands on her head. There will be light coming through the trees around and leaves on the ground.
Rosie Glynn "This image suggests that the album is emotionally connected to nature. It is raw and I like that about it."
This image will be behind the CD. It will be of the model with her hands in the air and head thrown back with rain falling down.
Jo Glynn "This dramatic expressive image should work well with the CD above it. It almost looks like she is pointing up to it."
This image is of the model looking directly into the camera with trees above her and light coming through.
Rosie Glynn "The direct address is very capturing and makes what could be a very basic image very effective."
The sleeves will both be the same. They will have the artist's name and album title in the centre with feathers in the background.
Jo Glynn "The use of nature without is bound up with the sleeves being feather themed too which is nice."
Rosie Glynn "The feathers will look nice especially is they are zoomed in quite close. Maybe just the outlines could be used."
